Well the first 10 weeks as Procurement Manager have flown by! Consignments & Memberships are continuing to increase as have memberships and the outlook for the group looks very positive.
The directors and I are relly pleased at the level of support we have recieved, despite the short time we have been operating, and the current competitive nature of the market.
A huge thank you to Paul Coates, Aberdeenshire; Brian Kaye, Pethshire; Andrew Lorrain-Smith, Lotian; and David Finlay, Dumfries & Galloway for hosting the farm walks.
It was a great benefit to meet so many producers in the group. The feedback was really encouraging, the majority of organic farmers in Scotland wanting to work together to achieve a top price for their livestock.
